1. Dhirdham Temple:
Located just above the Toy Train Railway Station, Dhirdham Temple is a beautiful temple that will always be remembered. This colorful temple building is the abode of the most popular Hindu deity, Lord Shiva. It is one of the oldest temples in the city of Darjeeling.
2. Darjeeling Mall:
The highest peak in Darjeeling city is called Mall Peak. The Mahakala temple on top of this mountain is supposed to be an image of Lord Shiva. The surrounding nature can be seen very well from the Darjeeling Mall and Kanchenjunga can also be seen from this peak if the sky is clear. The view from the top of the lamp post at night is great. It is basically the heart of the city and usually people come to shop, shop and eat in the shops and restaurants lined up on this road.
3. Tiger Hill:
If you want to go to Darjeeling and see the sunrise over Kanchenjunga, you must come to Tiger Hill. This Tiger Hill is one of the must see points of Darjeeling trip. On the way to Tiger Hill, you will find this beautiful place. In the middle is a memorial to the Gorkha Army. This is where Darjeeling's toy train turns 360 degrees and goes back to the sleep station. If the sky is clear, the Kanchenjunga mountain can be seen from here. 6. Rock Garden:
One of the most interesting places to visit in Darjeeling is the Rock Garden. You have to go down a bit from the city to see this beautiful fountain garden. The roads on the way to Gula look great. 7. Gangamaya Park:

8. Japanese Temple and Pace Pagoda:
This temple is very close to the city. It only takes about 10 minutes by car from the city. This Buddhist temple is called the Japanese Temple because it was built at the expense of a Japanese saint. And if you look to the right, you will see Pace Pagoda. The Pace Pagoda has a half-hour climbing staircase where the surrounding hilly nature will move your mind. The whole pagoda area is quiet and serene since it is a religious holy place.

For those who are more addicted to mountains, this institute will definitely be the best place to visit Darjeeling. There is a zoo, a mountain institute and a museum together. You can buy a ticket for 50 rupees and enter the zoo first. Here you will see tigers, lions, bears, monkeys, snakes, different species of birds and many other animals. After crossing the zoo, you will find the Mountain Institute and the Museum. Across the two floors, this museum carries all the traditions related to Mountain. Reading a book about Everest will not give you as much idea as visiting this museum.
10. Tenzing Rock:
Tenzing Rock will be read just before the tea garden in front of the Himalayan Mountain Institute. Tenzing Rock is a small specimen of a huge mountain. Where students of Himalaya Mountain Institute are trained. You can also climb Tenzing Rock if you want by buying a ticket for 20 rupees. A piece of rock looks like a whole mountain. On the way back from the tea garden, you will see the Darjeeling Cable Car on Tenzing Rock. You have to spend 100 rupees for car parking here. And to get on the cable car you have to spend 150 rupees. But you will have great fun riding the cable car. The length of the cable car is very large, it takes about 15 minutes to go from one end to the other and you can go to the other side and get off. You can make tea tiffin with some rest. As well as standing there you can enjoy the panoramic view of the hills with the view of the tea garden. 12. Ava Art Gallery:
Ava Art Gallery is just 4 km away from Darjeeling on the way to see the Japanese Pagoda. It is forbidden to take pictures inside. The art gallery is inside this bright red and yellow building. Ava Devi was known as the driving force of the embroidery industry. Inside, the fine artwork of this Ava Devi is bound to fill your mind. There are also many more beautiful works of art on the walls.
13. Ghum Railway Station and Toy Train:
From Darjeeling's famous railway station Ghum shown in many Bengali and Hindi films, you can take a toy train around Darjeeling city. This hill town is quite fun to walk around by train. This Ghum railway station is the tallest railway station in India and was once the highest railway station in the world. Now, however, it has dropped to 24th place in the list. How to get there?
If you want to go to Darjeeling, first you have to catch a train from Sealdah station.
Do you have to catch the train?
There are many quota trains from Sealdah station at night. You can catch any train. One of the trains from Sealdah is Darjeeling Mail, Kanchenjunga Express, Kanchankanya Express, Infantry Express, North Bengal Express and many more. In the sleeper class of this train your fare will be around 300 rupees. You sleep all night in the morning at New Jalpaiguri station Mamun. Roughly 12 to 14 hours journey You go to sleep at New Jalpaiguri station in the morning.
What to do in New Jalpaiguri?
Take the left overbridge and go outside. Travel agents will catch you in the station and try you with various temptations. They will tell you to give Darjeeling Tuku at low cost. You go straight out, come home, grab an auto, it will take you 15 to 20 rupees, you go to Tenzing Norgay bus stand, you can take a bus from here to Darjeeling, you will take 40 rupees, or you can go to the opposite of this bus stand, there is a taxi or small car or Scorpio Catch the car.
